SaaS/Software
Marketing Services

We market software the way buyers actually buy it: they search, they compare, they ask AI, they trial, they ask a peer. We report in pipeline and payback, not MQLs.

SaaS marketing team reviewing pipeline dashboards

The problem

The funnel is full. The pipeline isn't. SaaS marketing is uniquely easy to make look successful and hard to make actually work: traffic up, MQLs on target, net new ARR flat.

Comparison and alternative pages

"[Competitor] alternatives" and "X vs Y" pages that intercept buyers mid-evaluation. The highest-intent, most under-built content in SaaS.

Product-led SEO and AEO

Templates, integrations and use-case pages that rank and get cited by AI assistants, built from what your product already does rather than from a blog calendar.

Paid with payback guardrails

Search and social campaigns capped by CAC payback, not by budget. If a channel cannot clear the bar within the window you set, it gets cut.

Pricing and onboarding CRO

Tests on the pricing page, signup flow and first-run experience, the three places where trial-to-paid is won or lost.

Pipeline attribution to CRM

Every channel connected to your CRM and billing data so reports show pipeline, revenue and payback instead of form fills.

  1. Economics audit

CAC, payback and trial-to-paid, understood before we touch a channel or a keyword.

  2. Sequence the plan

Comparison content, product-led search and paid, ordered by what clears the bar.

  3. Report in pipeline

Connected to CRM and billing, so every channel reports in pipeline and payback.

Why 7 Studios for SaaS?

We will cut a channel

If it generates leads that lengthen payback, we say so instead of reporting volume.

Comparison pages first

The highest-intent, most under-built content in the whole category.

Payback is the constraint

Not MQLs, not traffic. The number that decides whether you grow without dilution.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is SaaS marketing?

Marketing built around recurring revenue: acquiring accounts at a cost the subscription pays back quickly, then expanding them. It leans on search, comparison content, product-led growth and paid channels measured against payback rather than lead volume.

2. How do you market a SaaS product?

Start where buyers already are: searching for the problem, comparing vendors, asking AI tools and peers. We build the pages that win those moments, add paid where the economics work, and fix the pricing and onboarding steps that decide conversion.

3. How much do SaaS companies spend on marketing?

Growth-stage SaaS companies typically invest 10–25% of ARR. The better question is what payback period you can fund; we size the budget backwards from a CAC payback target, usually 12 months or less.

4. What should we look for in a SaaS marketing agency?

Fluency in your unit economics. They should ask about CAC, payback, trial-to-paid and expansion before talking channels, and be willing to report against pipeline in your CRM rather than their own dashboard.

5. What does good CAC payback look like?

Under 12 months is healthy for most B2B SaaS; under 6 is excellent for self-serve; 12–18 can work for enterprise with strong net revenue retention. We track it per channel so budget moves toward the fastest payback.

6. We are product-led. Does that change things?

It changes the conversion point, not the principle. For PLG the signup and activation flow is the sales team, so we weight effort toward product-led SEO, templates and onboarding CRO, and report on activated accounts and paid conversions.
